WISPDOCK / GAME HOSTING
Don’t Starve Together server hosting
Keep your survivors in the same world, with surface and caves set up as one cluster. Pick the rules and mods before winter arrives.
Set up the cluster
A dedicated cluster uses a Klei server token and cluster settings. Surface and caves run as separate shards. Their settings must agree so players can travel between them.
Cluster and shard files
Keep cluster.ini, the token and each shard’s server settings organized. Back up the whole cluster, not just the surface. Treat the token as a credential and leave it out of support logs.
Bring your world, keep a copy
Tell us the game version, your mods and whether you already have a save. Keep the original files until you have joined the new server and checked your progress. If something fails, send the first useful error from the startup log with passwords and tokens removed.

Don’t Starve Together hosting FAQ
Do caves need a separate server process?
Yes. The caves shard runs separately from the surface shard, with its own settings and save data. Account for both when planning resources and backups.
How do I get started?
Create a Wispdock account, select Don’t Starve Together and check the available plan, region and full price in the panel. If you are bringing mods or a save, send us the details before choosing.
How should I choose a plan?
For Don’t Starve Together, start with the world, mods and expected activity. A fresh private server and a long-running community have different needs. Ask us about your setup rather than choosing by player count alone.
What should I back up before an update?
Stop the server cleanly, then keep a separate copy of the save, configuration and required mod list. Test the updated server before replacing your only working copy.
